Black Friday Shopping at Walmart

We entered into the craziness at Walmart on the day after Thanksgiving. We got up early at 3:30am and spent 3 hours in Walmart in line for a new TV, toys for donations, and some gifts for friends. All done by sunrise and we went to breakfast at IHOP afterwards. Then back to bed. This is loads of fun for us because we love the crazy shoppers, the excitement of catching a deal, and it puts me in the Christmas spirit with all the great holiday items out. Call me nutso but I like it and I found a man that likes it, too. Thanks Ben for sharing it with me.

Thanksgiving

We went to visit Ben's mother, Linda, in Alexandria for Thanksgiving. We had a great family time Thankgiving with all the traditional food. We are very thankful to have a wonderful family on both sides.

Holiday Luncheon with Friends

Got together with a great group of friends for our Christmas outing. We have been going out to dinner or lunch and just enjoying each other's company for a couple year now as a holiday gift to ourselves. This year it was beers and brunch at Horse and Hound.

Jimmy B. Concert in Charlottesville

We had a great time. It was a little different for me because it was a Tuesday night and cold. So, there was not as much tailgating and I rushed over after work. But, still a JB concert and loads of fun. It was so nice to see him in my town.

Great weekend--Girls Night Out and Va Film Festival

I had a wonderful weekend. We had Girls Night Out (GNO) at Zinc in Charlottesville. It was a great little place with French tapas. Wonderful drinks (I recommend the French Cosmo), yummy food (Loved the brussel sprouts and endive), and lots of laughs with my friends. The next morning, Ben and I spent the day at the Va Film Festival. First, we saw an episode of True Blood where the writer, Alan Ball, walked us through the scenes. Then, we saw Election which ended with a discussion with Matthew Broderick. Love it.

Fall 09 and Halloween

We hung out at our house and gave out candy to the kiddies. Ben put on his ninja gear and Rebecca came over for a little while. We made "Vampire" cocktails (Vodka and Cranberry juice) and enjoyed the nice night.
